We're excited that you're considering transferring to Miami University! Here's a brief outline of what happens next:
- Confirm your enrollment to Miami
Confirm your enrollment by the date listed in your acceptance packet. If you are living on campus, you must submit the online housing contract and confirmation deposit. For more information about living off campus, see Finding a Place Off-Campus.
- Select a meal plan and Living Learning Community
If you are living on campus, complete the Residence Hall & Meal Plan Contract online, after you have confirmed your enrollment.
- Submit medical form
Log in to the Student Health Services Health Portal to submit your completed medical form*. This needs to be done before you can schedule an academic advising session. (Helpful tips)
* If you are unable to log in to submit the form online, you can mail a completed medical form (PDF 20KB) to Student Health Services at 421 S. Campus Ave., Oxford, OH 45056.
- Attend an advising session
Contact the advising office within your academic division to schedule an advising session. You'll meet with an adviser who will provide information and help you register for classes. (You must confirm your enrollment and submit your medical form prior to registering for an advising session.)
- Attend Orientation
Attend either the August or January program that corresponds to your first semester in Oxford. For more information and to register, please visit the Office of New Student Programs.
- Submit your final transcripts
Once you are accepted at Miami and confirm your intention to enroll, an official evaluation of transferable credit is completed for use in academic advising. (If you have completed more than one year of college-level coursework, we recommend that you request an unofficial evaluation of your transferable credit from the Transfer Credit Evaluation Office at 513-529-8724 before you confirm your acceptance to Miami.)
