Majors and Minors
The College of Arts and Science (CAS) provides the core of Miami's liberal arts curriculum and offers diverse undergraduate majors and co-majors across the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences, as well as programs that cross disciplinary boundaries. In addition to our 60 majors and 9 co-majors, we also offer 51 minors.

Undeclared Majors
The University Studies program is designed to introduce you to the broadest range of academic areas offered by Miami University. Courses you complete in University Studies will satisfy graduation requirements. Once you have determined your field of study and have met any entrance requirements, you may declare a major in any part of the university.

Requirements
To earn a degree from the College of Arts and Science, you must complete a minimum of 124 hours that include:
- Global Miami Plan
- The College Requirement (CAS)
- Major Requirements
- Electives / Additional Programs
- Second major, co-major, minor
Degree requirements are based on your catalog year (i.e., the semester you became a degree-seeking student). These are included in the corresponding General Bulletin.
