In the 2017-2018 academic year, the Miami University First Year Research Experience (FYRE) class conducted a qualitative study to explore the perceptions of Oxford, Ohio as an age-friendly city. Through interviews, conversations with community stakeholders, and naturalistic observation, the students identified positive aspects about living in Oxford and components of livability that could potentially be improved. This report details those findings and offers recommendations and additional ideas for consideration in Oxford’s ongoing age-friendly efforts.
