Medallion depicting symbols of different world faithsThe Richard and Karen Rappleye Scholarship for Students of Comparative Religion is awarded each year to a Miami student who is majoring in Comparative Religion. Funded by a generous Miami alumnus and spouse, this scholarship is awarded based on academic merit.

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible for the scholarship if you

  • have declared Comparative Religion as your major.
  • are a currently enrolled Miami student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • are an entering Miami student with a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher and either an ACT score of at least 26 or an SAT score of at least 1170.

How to apply

There is no application for this scholarship; the Office of Financial Aid will award it each year to the student with the highest merit who meets the criteria. The recipient of the scholarship will be informed by November 1.
