The Department of English offers the following graduate degree programs:

• Composition and Rhetoric (MA, PhD)
• Creative Writing (MFA)
• Literature (MA, PhD)
• Teaching (MAT, offered through the Ohio Writing Project)

Application for admission to these programs involves submission of materials to Miami University's Graduate School. GRE scores are not required for admission to graduate programs offered by the Department of English.

• The deadline for applications to MA and PhD programs is December 2, 2022. Late applications will not be considered for funding.
• The deadline for applications to the MFA program is January 3, 2023, though review of applications will begin on December 2, 2022.
