InterfACE mentorship program integrates international students into the broader Miami community
The American Culture and English Program (ACE), which has been a part of the Miami University curricula since 2011, seeks to facilitate the linguistic, cultural, and academic transition of international students to Miami. More recently, a mentorship program called InterfACE has become a large part of ACE's overall success.

Students ponder visual representations of time with Jenann Ismael
On November 21, professor of philosophy at Columbia University Jenann Ismael addressed a large crowd in Shriver Center to give a special lecture titled "Visual Representations of Time: From Physics to Philosophy." Its purpose was to examine the role of pictorial representations in our understanding of time.

Foreign Language Day set to introduce five key languages to high school students on January 21
Miami's Department of German, Russian, Asian and Middle Eastern Languages and Culture (GRAMELAC) will host Foreign Language Day on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in Irvin Hall, from 8 am to 2 pm. This event is open to high school students who are seeking an introduction to the featured languages of Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Latin, and Russian
