Interests
My research and teaching focus on three areas. These are globalization and Sub-Saharan African urbanization, migration, and poverty. My work is situated within two areas of specialization of the department: global development and politics and, urbanization and mobility. I have supervised a number of graduate students who have gone on to Ph.D. programs all over North America.
