Dr. Jayasena is currently completing a book manuscript titled The Bounty of War: Cinema and the Sri Lankan Armed Conflict. He has published several peer-reviewed essays on Sri Lankan cinema. Nalin's first research project culminated in a book on British colonial literature and culture, Contested Masculinities: Crises in Colonial Male Identity from Joseph Conrad to Satyajit Ray (Routledge, 2007).
