Teaching

Dr. Kollman teaches courses in media representation, gender in the media, and women and gender studies.

Research

Dr. Kollman's recent publications include a study of women's representation in alternative rock music (published in Rock Music Studies), an analysis of female vampires in music videos (published in The Journal of Dracula Studies), and a book chapter on representations of male bisexuality in the television series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. She is currently adapting her dissertation into a monograph on fictional representations of female US presidents in film, television, and literature.
