Dr. Stigler teaches courses in the history of Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies, body politics and fashion theory, LGBTQ+ history and theory, food studies, oral history, and feminist ecologies. She has an invited chapter in 'Teaching Fashion Studies' the first multidisciplinary pedagogical manual on the subject. Dr. Stigler is also a member of the Fall 2019 cohort of the New Faculty Teaching Enhancement Program at Miami University.

As an interdisciplinary feminist scholar, Dr. Stigler has a wide scope of research interests broadly pertaining to the ways in which identities are constructed and maintained historically, communally, and individually. In her work as a food studies oral historian, Dr. Stigler bridges the fields of memory studies and food studies to explore the interanimating entanglement between remembering and forgetting, as it relates to culinary landscapes.
