I teach Introduction to Quantum Mechanics (PHY 491/591) and General Physics with Lab (I and II) (PHY 191 and PHY 192).

Prior to joining Miami University, I spent over 10 years at Argonne National Laboratory investigating vibrational dynamics and mechanical properties of a wide range of materials, such as heme proteins, iron-containing model compounds, tin-based porphyrins, and clathrates.

My research, placed at the confluence of physics, materials science, biology, and chemistry, consistently emphasizes – and benefits from – the complementary nature of state-of-the-art synchrotron-based techniques and more traditional ones.

A select list of my publications can be found here.
