Suzanne R. Kunkel is Director of the Scripps Gerontology Center, and Professor in the Department of Sociology and Gerontology at Miami University. Her research and teaching interests include the demography of aging, planning for the health and long-term care needs of an aging population, older workers, and program evaluation. Dr. Kunkel's interest in population aging has expanded to include a focus on global aging and the consequences of rapid aging on less-developed countries of the wor.ld. Her research also includes federally and stat-funded projects related to the design and effectiveness of community-based home care and the aging network.
