With more than twenty full-time faculty members, we offer a range of coursework, research opportunities, and extra-curricular learning experiences in Criminology, Gerontology, Organizational Leadership, Social Justice, and Sociology. Our department is home to three majors and multiple minors and thematic sequences. We offer several capstone courses and a variety of independent research opportunities.

For graduate students, we offer a multi-disciplinary Master's Degree in Gerontological Studies and a PhD in Social Gerontology. The Department's graduate programs in Gerontology are administered in conjunction with the Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University, a research center dedicated to the study and dissemination of information related to aging.
