Premedical and Pre-Health Studies Co-Major
The Premedical and Pre-Health Studies Co-Major provides students with a broad-based science background and prepares them to pursue advanced degrees in medicine and other healthcare related fields. The co-major requires only 2 additional credit hours beyond the coursework required for successful application to profesional healthcare programs, while allowing students to more efficiently track their progress toward achieving their professional goals.
Courses in Healthcare
The courses in healthcare offered by the Mallory-Wilson Center (PMD) provide Miami undergraduates an opportunity to explore, in depth, the world of healthcare before becoming committed to the profession. Some courses are devoted to professional development, while in other courses, students explore various topics in healthcare, present their research to the class, and lead a discussion on the topic.
Other Health-Related Courses
Miami University offers a diverse curriculum that may be of special interest to students pursuing careers in healthcare professions. Beyond the courses that are are part of the programming offered by the Mallory-Wilson Center or are requirements of the Premedical and Pre-Health Studies Co-major, we have assembled a list of courses of which you might not be aware and from which you might benefit.
