Anne Pramaggiore accepts Lookingglass Civic Engagement Award from actor David Schwimmer

Miami alumna Anne Pramaggiore accepts the Civic Engagement Award from Philip Smith, the producing artistic director of the Lookingglass Theatre, and actor David Schwimmer, famous for his role as Ross on "Friends."

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Miami, Anne Pramaggiore continued on to DePaul University School of Law, serving as the editor-in-chief of the school's Law Review. She earned her law degree in 1989.

Ms. Pramaggiore has worked for ComEd, a unit of Chicago-based Exelon Corporation, since 1998. In February 2012, she was promoted to be the first female to hold the post of president and CEO. Prior to that, she served as president and chief operating officer (COO) and also served as manager of Customer Operations and External Affairs, where she oversaw environmental stewardship activities designed to promote customer satisfaction.

This year, she was awarded Lookingglass Theatre Company's Civic Engagement Award for her support of the Chicago theatre community. In 2013, Chicago Magazine listed Ms. Pramaggiore as one of the "100 Most Powerful Chicagoans," citing her as "one of the most plugged-in women in Chicago business."
