Oxford String Quartet members pose with their instrumentsOxford String Quartet

The Oxford String Quartet dates back to 1946, when it was known as the Miami University String Quartet. The quartet’s stated mission was “to bring fine chamber music to students in the University and to make a continuing contribution to the musical life of the region which the University serves. Very quickly, their contribution proved to be much greater than anyone could have anticipated.

The newly re-formed Oxford String Quartet is excited to again bring great music to our students and community.
