Heading to campus to attend a performance or visit a gallery? Please read the following parking information carefully.

A parking permit is required to park on Miami University's campus and the streets which run through or adjoin campus at all times unless otherwise noted.

  • No permit is required to park at University parking garages or parking meters. However, garage and meter fees must be paid for the time parked at either type facility.
  • Please note recent changes to parking lots near Shriver Center and CPA.

Visitor parking policies

Surface lots

Visitors MUST have a parking permit to park in any of the surface lots around campus*. Visitors can purchase a permit online prior to their visit to campus.

  • Disability parking spaces in lots are available to any vehicle bearing a valid Miami University parking permit and state-issued disability placard.

*Parking in the MacMillan and Shriver west parking lots (accessed from Maple Street) is restricted to visitors with a special admission office parking permit from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Mon-Fri,
paid other times. Posted signage takes precedence.

Street parking

Parking on streets which run through or adjoin campus is limited by location and time of day. A parking permit may be required. Visitors can purchase a permit online prior to their visit to campus.

  • From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, a parking permit is required to park on Spring, Oak and Maple Streets.
  • After 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday, no parking permit is required to park on non-restricted areas of Spring, Oak, and Maple Streets.
  • Posted signage takes precedence.

Meters and garages

  • Parking meters are available near Shriver Center and Hall Auditorium. No parking permit is required for visitors who park at campus meters. However, meter fees must be paid for the time parked.
  • The University operates two parking garages that are open to the public daily. No parking permit is required. However, garage fees must be paid for the time parked.
