Each year the Department of Theatre schedules a networking trip to Chicago with their graduating seniors. The annual trip marks a culminating event in students' professional preparation sequence that includes early career advising, a professional practice course in their junior year, internships, and other individual opportunities.

This year's group traveled over fall break, October 11-14 and enjoyed opportunities that included touring major theatre venues, attending productions, conversing with Miami alumni, participating in workshops with theatre professionals, and completing individual networking appointments.

Julia Guichard, chair of the theatre department stated, "The students gained valuable experience in networking skills and great advice for making the transition from college to the profession. And they had fun!"

The trip was supported by the Department of Theatre, Career Services and the Miami Family Fund.
