Campus Architecture + Design Career Fair a big success

Over 34 local firms and Miami alumni present

On Monday, December 12, 2016, Miami University’s College of Creative Arts and Career Services hosted their annual career fair, providing an opportunity for prestigious design and architecture firms to meet talented Miami students.

The Heritage Room in the Shriver Center welcomed 34 local firms and 105 students from the CCA disciplines including Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Interactive Media Studies.

"It was wonderful seeing so many alumni returning to campus who are now working in the field," stated Mary Rogero, interim chair of Miami's Department of Architecture+Interior Design department. "It was great not only reconnecting with former students, but also to see our current students conversing and connecting with our alums and the many employers who were present at the fair."

"This year's career fair marked the largest and most successful to date," said John Weigand, associate dean of the College of Creative Arts. "The fair itself has run at least for 15-20 years and has grown significantly since Career Services became involved several years ago."
