Todd Stuart elected Vice President of Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education

Todd Stuart picTodd Stuart, Director of Arts Management and Entrepreneurship at Miami University was recently elected Vice President of the Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education at their 3rd annual conference held in October.

The Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education was founded in 2014 with the purpose of advancing formal training and high educational standards for arts entrepreneurship education. In addition to electing its first ever board of directors and officers, the society is forming a new 501c3 organization to further its purpose and expand its reach. As evidence of the fields growth in the past two years, three new scholarly journals are now in publication: Artivate, Journal of Arts Entrepreneurship Education and the Journal of Arts Entrepreneurship Research.

Miami's Arts Management and Entrepreneurship program has over 80 students involved and houses a co-major in Arts Management, a minor in Arts Management and the newly launched minor in Arts Entrepreneurship—one of only 18 such minors in the country.

In addition to serving as the Director of the Arts Management and Entrepreneurship program, Stuart is also a lecturer at Miami and has previously presented at the 4th Biennial Pave Symposium on Entrepreneurship and the Arts at Arizona State University.
