Youth auditions for Miami University theatre production "Gathering Blue"

Casting roles for ages 7–14 to be held in early September

Miami University Department of Theatre presents Gathering Blue, adapted by Eric Coble and
based on Lois Lowry’s companion piece to The Giver. It is a suspenseful tale of the power of
creativity to fight brutality. There are roles for approximately 6 young people.

Auditions will include movement and games. You do not have to prepare anything, but you should
wear clothing that will allow you to move comfortably. Do not wear flip-flops or hard soled shoes.

Rehearsals begin October 2 and will take place each evening except Saturday. More information about
the rehearsal schedule will be available at the audition.

Performances are as follows:

Wed-Thurs, November 15–16, 7:30 pm
School Matinee, Friday, November 17
Sat-Sun, November 18–19, 2:00 pm
Gates-Abegglen Theatre 

Please note that a parent or guardian must be present during the audition to sign paperwork.
