Miami Architecture alumni among five Ohio architects elevated to prestigious College of Fellows within the American Institute of Architects.

At the 2018 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Conference on Architecture, held in New York City in June, five Ohio architects were elevated to the AIA's prestigious College of Fellows. Three in this group are graduates of Miami University: Jonathan Barnes '82 (principal of Jonathan Barnes Architecture and Design, Columbus); Stephen Sharp '73 (principal of McCall Sharp Architecture, Springfield); and Troy Sherrard '93 (partner with Moody Nolan, Columbus).

AIA Fellowship recognizes "the achievements of architects as individuals, but also their significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level." Out of a total AIA membership of over 91,000, less than 4 percent are distinguished with this honor.
