CEC faculty, staff receive four Creativity and Innovation Awards

Joanna Hohn and Kumar Singh were two of the four CEC honorees.

Three CEC faculty members and one CEC staff member were honored Thursday night for their creative and innovative work at Miami University.

Presented by Miami University President Gregory Crawford, the Creativity and Innovation Award celebrates honorees exemplifying "wonder, zeal, focus, curiosity, fortitude, and resourcefulness applied to advance the University and the Miami community."

This year's three CEC faculty honorees herald from multiple academic departments within CEC: Peter Jamieson (Electrical and Computer Engineering), Norm Krumpe (Computer Science and Software Engineering), and Kumar Singh (Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering). This year's CEC staff honoree, Joanna Hohn, leads CEC's K-12 Outreach Program. This program organizes events like the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition and multiple youth technology/STEM summer camps.
