Maciej Wozniak receives award from Graduate Research Forum
Maciej Wozniak is a master's computer science student in the computer science department. He is a recipient of a "Top 3 Presentation' award from the 2020 Graduate Research Forum, held virtually on November 1, 2020.

Two students receive Menditto Scholarship
The scholarship, endowed by alumni Jim and Jane Menditto, is given annually to undergraduate students in the MME department who have demonstrated high academic performance, as well as achievement outside the classroom.

Gillian Holman receives IEEE scholarship
"[My goal is] really just finding a career where I can just grow and keep learning," she said. "I feel like it's a field that never stops evolving and never stops changing; so just something that I can continue learning along with."

Each year, the Provost's Student Academic Achievement Award (PSAAA) is given to high achieving students who demonstrate academic excellence.

Aversa Prentosito receives Dotcom-Monitor Scholarship
Dotcom-Monitor's goal is to motivate and support female undergraduate students who are pursuing careers in the computing field by helping with the cost of higher education.

MME student receives President's Distinguished Service Award
Each year, the President’s Distinguished Service Award (PDSA) is given to a select group of students. These students are recognized for their outstanding service contributions to Miami, demonstrating leadership at its highest quality. Among the 20 students chosen to receive this year's PDSA award is senior mechanical engineering major, Inés Muñoz de Cote.

Lexie Adams receives 2020 Goldwater Scholarship
Lexie Adams, junior chemical engineering major, is one of only 396 students across the nation to receive this year’s Goldwater Scholarship, regarded as the most prestigious awards that an undergraduate STEM major can earn.

This past week the RedHawk Racing team brought 7 team members down to Louisville to compete against other local universities.
