Welcome!
The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion provides an integrated, holistic vision of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strategic direction at Miami University.
We are proud to work with Miami’s amazing faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, and partners to support and advance increasingly inclusive structures and lived practices. Our efforts address climate, recruitment, retention, programming, capacity-building, and a range of educational opportunities. We are committed to ensuring that our inclusive living, learning, and working environment reflects the multiple intersecting identities within our local and global communities, and to promoting the full participation of every Miami student, faculty, and staff member. We invite you to explore this website to learn more about existing and planned initiatives and programs, read our annual reports and newsletters, and find resources.
The OIDI team welcomes your thoughts, ideas, and engagement as we continue the long-term, multilayered work of organizational cultural change and transformation in our journey to reflect an ever more inclusive Miami community.
With Love and Honor,
Cristina Alcalde, Ph.D. (she/her/hers)
