Upon admission to the university, you are assigned to a Career Advisor. This decision is based on your major and/or chosen career cluster.
Your advisor provides individualized information and guidance during your career exploration.
Career Advisors assists with:
- major exploration
- career exploration
- strategies for internship/job search
- interviewing techniques
- customized approach to mapping work preferences and passions

For Resume Review
For students specifically interested in having their resume reviewed, we encourage you to start with VMOCK. Upload your resume and request “Network Feedback” from the “Career Advisors”.
On-Demand Career Advising
The On-Demand Career Advisor is available for drop-in career advising without a pre-scheduled appointment. The On-Demand Career Advisor can accommodate you with a wide variety of career exploration and management requests.
Location: 0045 Armstrong Student Center
NOTE: On-Demand Advising is not offered during Fall Career Fair, Spring Career Fair, or University holidays.
Spring On-Demand Hours
- Monday and Thursday: 1:00–5:00 pm
- Tuesday: 2:00–5:00 pm
- Wednesday: 12:00–3:00 pm
- Friday: 11:00 am–3:00 pm
On-Demand Group Advising
The On-Demand Career Advisor is available for drop-in, group career advising without a pre-scheduled appointment. Two topic options are available each week.
