I joined the Student Success Center as Associate Director in June 2019. In this capacity, I serve as the Student Success Advocate for first- and second-year Miami students. The Success Advocate position is a cornerstone of the Student Success Center and is designed to offer students a singular and personalized point of contact when they face potential barriers to their academic success. Moreover, I assist the office’s rapid response program, proactively providing support to students at critical times.

Prior to my position at the Student Success Center, I worked as the Director of Academic Support for Miami student athletes in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Additionally, I taught college composition and literature for eight years at various institutions including the University of Maryland and Ohio State University.

A Miami alumna, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English in 2005. I then earned my master’s degree in Western Philosophy from St. John’s College and a second master’s degree in English Literature from Ohio State University.
