Family Weekend Silent Auction

Hefner Museum of Natural History Tours (drop-in)

  • 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum (RCCAM)
  • Take your selfie with the Kodiak Bear, see animals from around the world, and learn about their connection to you and Ohio. Throughout the day, the Hefner Museum will host tours and museum director Steve Sullivan will be available to answer your questions about nature.

Department of Art Faculty and Alumni Exhibition

  • 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum (RCCAM)
  • Featuring new work created since 2021, this quadrennial exhibition showcases work by current and emeriti faculty along with selected alumni. The self-guided exhibition celebrates and promotes the excellence of the Department of Art at Miami University over the years, and offers a unique opportunity to explore recent trends in art.

Friday Noon Skate

  • Join us for a Friday noon skate! Admission is $5. Free skate rental is available.

Classic Movie Fridays: Halloween Edition!

Family Weekend Welcome Center

  • Ready to kick off your Family Weekend strong? Visit the Family Weekend Welcome Center to get information about your schedule for the weekend, get a family photo printed, explore the Miami University Student Foundation (MUSF) silent auction, and grab a sweet treat. While visiting the Welcome Center, pick up information about campus opportunities for students.

  • Join the Asian American Association for our biggest event of the fall semester! Explore a variety of art from around Asian along with free food and performances. This is the perfect event for friends and family. All are welcome!

Family Weekend Shabbat Dinner at Hillel

  • 5-7 p.m.
  • Hillel at Miami University
  • Join Hillel at Miami as we enjoy Shabbat together with our extended family! We invite parents, grandparents, siblings, and other family members to join us for a Shabbat dinner. Family Weekend Farmers Market

  • More than just produce, this Farmers' Market has baked goods, little sprout kids activities, and artisan wares. Every Saturday morning, May through November, Oxford Farmers Market Uptown hosts around 40 vendors, who share their gifts with our community. Make sure to stop by the Miami Activities and Programming table Uptown for a free giveaway!

The Myth of Ariadne from the Labyrinth to the Walls of Pompeii

  • The Archaeological Institute of America- Dayton Society, Miami University Department of History, and the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum (RCCAM) at Miami University present the Archaeological Institute of America's Peter H. von Blanckenhagen Memorial Lecture by Dr. Lillian Joyce, Associate Professor of Art History at The University of Alabama in Huntsville.

  • Visit the McGuffey House and Museum for docent-led tours! As a National Historic Landmark, we aim to collect, preserve, interpret, and exhibit materials relating to the life of William Holmes McGuffey, the McGuffey Eclectic Reader series, the history of Miami University, and 19th-century domestic life and architecture of southwest Ohio.

Seth Myers

Seth Meyers is an Emmy Award-winning writer, New York Times bestselling author and host of NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” since 2014.

Meyers began his TV career with “Saturday Night Live” in 2001 where he was a cast member for 13 seasons. He served as head writer for nine seasons and “Weekend Update” anchor for eight. He has released two critically acclaimed stand-up specials to date, “Lobby Baby” (Netflix) and “Seth Meyers: Dad Man Walking” (HBO/Max.) In all, Meyers has garnered 33 Emmy nominations for his work in television.

In addition to his onscreen success, Meyers is a New York Times bestselling author, having published his first picture book, “I’m Not Scared, You’re Scared,” in 2022. He currently co-hosts two podcasts, “Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers,” alongside his brother Josh Meyers, and “The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast,” with Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone.

Meyers performs stand-up to sold out crowds across the country and co-headlines a monthly residency with John Oliver at the Beacon Theatre in New York.
