Living on Campus in Oxford, OH

Oxford, Ohio, home of Miami's main campus, is a small, picturesque town that is home to more than 20,000 residents and has been selected by Forbes and other publications as one of the best college towns in America because of all it has to offer.

The heart of Oxford life is Uptown, which features a park, farmer’s market, restaurants, shops, seasonal festivals and more.

Oxford has miles of nature trails and is located a 15-minute drive from Hueston Woods State Park; 1 hour drive from Cincinnati, OH and Dayton, OH; 2 hours or less drive from Cincinnati, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Columbus, OH, Lexington, KY, and Louisville, KY; and 5 hours or less drive from Chicago, IL, Nashville, TN, Cleveland, OH, Detroit, MI and Pittsburgh, PA.

Living On Campus

Global Partner Schools Program participants will live in Miami University residence halls rooms that come furnished and supplied with bedding and towels. Residence halls also have kitchens, laundry facilities and recreational areas.

Participants will also have access to the Recreation Center, Libraries, Student Center, dining facilities, campus bus and more.

Cross-Cultural Exploration and Local Excursions

Outside of the classroom or office, participants will have the opportunity to connect with the local community and travel to places of interest inorder to practice English, experience U.S. society, and advance global learning and program goals.

Participants enjoy weekly excursions to local places of interests such as:

  • Freedom Center
  • Air Force Museum
  • Ohio River Cruise
  • And more!

There is also time to explore and connect with the local community at:
