Karla Guinigundo and Vaishali Raval

Karla Guinigundo (Global Initiatives) and Vaishali Raval (Psychology) were recently awarded a $99,525 grant through the US Mission India Public Diplomacy Grants Program "Promoting Internationalization of Indian Universities Through U.S. collaborations" (ND-NOFO-20-109.) Their project, "Using Best Practices to Promote Internationalization of Higher Education in India in Collaboration with US Partnerships," aims to develop a model for internationalization of higher education in India, culminating in a professional development training program for 10 administrators from universities across India.

Set to launch in January, 2021, the year-long project will encourage institutional partnerships across the U.S. and India, while assisting participant administrators in the development of campus internationalization strategic plans for their own institutions. Due to the pandemic, Guinigundo and Raval designed the project with flexibility in mind, accounting for potential travel restrictions and the need for online training platforms.
