Google Storage Quota Reminder

We are fast approaching the day when we turn on the Google storage quotas on May 22. Don't forget to check your storage and make sure you are within your allotted quota. You can also view the quotas here. 

If you are still using more than your quota after the 22nd, you will no longer be able to edit files or add files to your Drive. You will retain the ability to view your files and will still be able to move files out of Drive and you will still be able to send and receive emails.

Miami Wi-Fi Updates

Miami is making a few changes to our network in order to improve the overall security, features, and performance of the Miami Wi-Fi infrastructure. These changes include creating new SSIDs (or network names) and more, which you can read about here. 

The Wi-Fi network will be updated from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. This involves updating the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate.

Following the update, users may experience one or several of these things:

  • Users may be asked to re-authenticate to MU-WIRELESS and eduroam on their various devices;
  • Users may be asked to accept a certificate at radius.miamioh.edu when connecting to MU-WIRELESS;
  • and some users may also have to “forget” the networks and re-add them. For instructions on how to do this, please visit the article in the IT Services Knowledge Base: Unable to connect after 5/21/2024.

ShredFest 2024 is Happening Now!!

ShredFest has officially started! We are bringing a mobile shredder to you so come ready with confidential office and personal documents for secure, on-site shredding! Today, we are in Middletown in the parking lot outside of Johnston Hall from 9-11 a.m. Later today, we will be in Hamilton in the parking lot outside Wilks Conference Center from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

On Thursday, May 16, we will be on the Oxford campus between 12 and 4 p.m. at Cook Field (near Pulley Tower).
