How the Miami People Live

Publication cover, including title, authors, and footprints of bare feet and shoes on the ground

Based on an exhibition presented by the Miami University Art Museum in 2008, myaamiaki iši meetohseeniwiciki ("How the Miami People Live") contains photos, quotes, and lectures intended to recreate the experience of attending.

Project Background

As a project, myaamiaki iši meehtohseeniwiciki is the culmination of an IMLS grant. Our goal was to document the museum exhibition, which featured items used and created by Myaamia people. These items ranged from maps created in 1775 to contemporary art.

Our publication from the IMLS grant includes a print booklet, DVD, and the website. Upon completion of this project, each tribal household received a booklet and DVD.
