Cuyahoga Community College, Miami University sign partnership focused on the student transfer process

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) and Miami University have signed a partnership designed to help students with the transfer process.

The schools will leverage resources at both institutions to create new opportunities for transfer students in all disciplines.

Tri-C and Miami are two of the largest educational providers in Northern Ohio and Southwest Ohio, respectively. In addition to developing stronger academic transfer pathways, this agreement focuses on more seamlessly integrating the two institutions.

While at Tri-C, students participating in the Miami-Tri-C partnership will have access to on-site advising from Miami staff, as well as other opportunities such as:
  • Assistance with navigating the admission and financial aid process.
  • Program and degree guides with course details for a Miami bachelor’s degree.
  • Workshops and presentations on Miami University’s Honors Program and major-specific programming.
  • An early connection to Miami’s Center for Career Exploration and Success and Miami's Student Success Center.
  • Priority consideration for transfer scholarships.
Cuyahoga Community College opened in 1963 as Ohio’s first community college and remains Ohio’s largest public community college.

Tri-C is the fourth Ohio community college to partner with Miami to provide their students pathways to achieve bachelor’s degrees at Miami. Miami programs at The Regionals and in Oxford have nearly 40 agreements for specific bachelor’s degree pathways from several community colleges.
