2020 LEAN Fair: "Connecting the dots" Jan. 15

lean-fair-mapMiami University’s Lean Initiatives Office invites all university employees and the Lean community to the 2020 LEAN Fair “Connecting the Dots” Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Armstrong Student Center.

A morning session and a repeat afternoon session will be held 8:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.

Sessions begin with keynote presentations, followed by the opportunity to stop by more than 40 booths that showcase the application of Lean at Miami.

Booths will feature topics ranging from RecycleMania, occupational safety, student insurance, health and well-being and much more. 

Discover current Miami Lean projects, play some Lean games and network with Lean team leaders and others. 

Schedule details:

  • 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. : Welcome by David Creamer, vice president for finance and business services.
  • 8:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.: Keynote by Kapil Manocha, director of Lean Initiatives at Miami, on how Miami uses the tools of Lean to balance fiscal challenges.
  • 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.: Keynote by Michael Hoseus, executive director of Center for Quality People and Organizations, on lean and changing environments. 
  • 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.: Open time for interactive booths.

Refreshments will be provided in the Atrium next to Cafe Lux.
