P.K. Whelpton’s legacy inspires tomorrow’s experts in demography and aging
With the generosity of the Whelpton family, the P.K. Whelpton Memorial Lecture Series brings a nationally known scholar to Miami University each fall. This lecture, established in 1986, honors the memory of Pascal Whelpton who served from 1953-1963 as one of the early directors of what is now Scripps Gerontology Center. Whelpton’s contributions to the field of demography and the research center left a legacy.ect

IT services is supporting the university's Institutional Response Team (IRT) to add a computer monitor alert to the options (text, email, VoIP phones, etc.) in its current emergency notification system (ENS).

Scripps Gerontology Center is part of Oxford's Age-Friendly Community team
Oxford named ‘Age-Friendly Community’ by AARP Efforts to make the community “a great place to live for all ages” received a boost recently when the city was notified of acceptance into the AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities.
