Miami University students of all majors, and especially those graduating by August 2018, will have an opportunity to explore job opportunities with regional and national employers at Career Fair 2017, one of the largest events of its type in the country.

The fair will be held 1-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Millett Hall and will feature employers from business and industry, as well as selected governmental and public service agencies.

Students who have never been to a career fair are advised to first attend a training session. Information about the training sessions during Career Fair Prep Week is available on the Center for Career Exploration & Success website. First-year students are also urged to attend the fair to experience the event and network.

“We’re very proud of our track record in attracting a diverse array of employers to campus.” said Jennifer Franchak, assistant vice president of the Center for Career Exploration & Success. “The great success of our on-campus recruiting program speaks to the quality of our students.”

The annual event will bring together an expected 3,500 students and more than 280 hiring organizations seeking to fill a variety of positions. Students in attendance will have an opportunity to distribute copies of their resume, speak directly with employer representatives and gain insight into a variety of career opportunities. Employers use the event to help them identify talented candidates to invite for interviews.

Employers confirmed to participate include PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, Procter & Gamble, Mercy Health, Cintas, The David J. Joseph Co., Coyote Logistics, Johnson & Johnson, JPMorgan Chase, and the United States Army and Army Reserves.
