Policy

Miami University has no mandatory retirement age.  A written notice is requested in case of service retirement.  In order to assure an orderly transition, it is requested that at least ninety (90) days written notice be given to the appropriate personnel office. See the policy “Retirement with Rehiring Contracts for Instructional Staff” which requires application at least six months prior to retirement.
