A comprehensive support program for students with learning and attention differences

Now taking applications for Fall, 2021

Mission

Beginning Fall 2021, Miami University Regionals will offer a comprehensive support program for students with attention and learning differences called Fusion.  Housed within the office of Student Disability Services, the Fusion program provides supplementary assistance specifically designed to support Executive Functioning challenges (time management, organization, procrastination, etc.) that extend beyond the typical, mandated ADA accommodations.  Our specialist will provide weekly one-on-one, scaffolded meetings with the goal of closing achievement gaps and increasing the likelihood of retention and graduation.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Registered Miami Student (CCP students not eligible at this time)
  • Documented disability that impact executive function skills such as ADHD, TBI, ASD, learning disability, various neurological disorders, etc.

Program Components:

  • Weekly academic planning meetings
  • Individualized Learning Plans
  • Executive Functioning skill development
  • High School to College transition support
  • Coordinated services with other campus resources
