Organizational Misconduct
Student organizations are an important part of the Miami experience, and the Office of Community Standards believes in the positive benefit organizations have to this institution and individuals. However, just like students, sometimes organizations make decisions that might have a negative impact on others. That is why student organizations at Miami University are held to the same standards and regulations in the Code of Student Conduct as any individual student. This means an organization could be charged with potentially violating any section of the Code of Student Conduct. However, because organizations contain multiple students, the process for this might look different than a single student being charged.
The subsections on this page provide insight into what those differences, are and what you might need to do if your organization is referred to the Office of Community Standards for a potential violation.
