Donations

If you are interested in reaching out to friends, family, alumni, and others to solicit donations for your organization, or a specific project your organization has taken on, consider partnering with the Office of Annual Giving for a new project page or for participating in #MoveInMiami.

Project Page

Example of a project page Advancement website. Students posing with rakes and pile of leaves, with text about how the group volunteers in the community. Raise funds for your student organization with ease! Contact the Office of Annual Giving to meet and have a fundraising project page specific to your group created, which will help your org reach its goals. Benefit of having a project page include (but not limited to):

  • 100% of funds raised will go to your organization, unlike most crowdfunding pages
  • Your organization does not have to pay credit card fees
  • Your organization receives a personalized URL for its specific project page
  • All donations made through the page are tax deductible gifts (your donors will appreciate it!)
  • Your organization will be raising funds in accordance to the Student Handbook.

#MoveInMiami

Screenshot of AphiO Zeta Delta Alumni Fund project. Raised $440 of their $500 goal.#MoveInMiami is Miami University's annual day of giving, which takes place during first-year move in. The date this year is Thursday, August 23, 2018.

Last year during #MoveInMiami, over 300 areas within the university, including a significant number of student organizations, raised over $1,000,000 in 20 hours and 20 minutes.

Your organization can also be a part of this momentous day, by having a project page created, so that it may be featured on the #MoveInMiami website. During #MoveInMiami, your student organization's project page can be used to raise general funds for your org or a specific project (recommended by the Office of Annual Giving).
