Virtual Support and Engagement

The Division of Student Life aims to support students engaged in remote learning. Our goals are to provide support, encourage connections, and allow you the opportunity to engage with the campus community from home.

Academic Support

The Rinella Learning Center is here to excel in our mission to support students academically. We are thrilled to provide remote options for students seeking content-specific assistance:

  • Tutor.com Staff Tutoring: Through our partner, Tutor.com, we offer remote tutoring on a variety of course topics. While these tutors are not Miami students, they are nonetheless professionally trained, and can be accessed 24/7!
  • Peer Tutoring: Remote tutoring led by our highly-trained peer tutors. This allows students to seek help from fellow students who have excelled in those subjects.

ALL of these options are completely FREE for Miami students.

EdLogics

EdLogics was introduced to Miami students last year as a fun, engaging way to learn about health using gamification principles.

EdLogics has added several COVID-19 related articles in addition to hundreds of other topics you can peruse when you have some time.

The program is offered free to all Miami students through MiamiOH.edlogics.com. Drawings for prizes (and sometimes cash!) are held every few weeks.

Virtual Campus Care

Farmer School of Business with Campus Care Logo overlayed

For Miami students residing in any location, we are pleased to offer daily Campus Care sessions via WebEx. Campus Care is an option for students who want to consult with a trained mental health professional in a less formal and more convenient setting than a counseling appointment. Virtual Campus Care sessions are held Monday through Friday.
