Key Offices for Teaching Enhancement (Oxford)

  • Center for Teaching Excellence: offers long- and short -term learning communities for faculty growth and inquiry; sponsors workshops and conferences on teaching as well as several journals; and provides consultation on assessment of student learning outcomes
  • Howe Center for Writing Excellence: offers one-on-one tutoring on writing for students; provides consultation to faculty on writing instruction and assignments; sponsors workshops on teaching writing
  • Office of Community Engagement & Service: provides resources and support for service-learning, community engagement and volunteerism
  • E-Learning Miami: provides support for migrating and creating courses on Canvas (Learning Management System) and in online or hybrid delivery mode
  • Student Disability Services: provides support and accommodations for students with disabilities and consultation for faculty working with students with disabilities.
  • Student Counseling Services: provides primary, secondary and tertiary interventions to help students develop and maintain healthy personal, emotional, and psychological functioning as they set and attempt to achieve academic goals
