As we near the end of the academic year, there are several updates and information to share. The remaining Weekly Three emails will likely contain more than the usual three items, beginning with today’s Three plus two.

Congratulations – Please join me in congratulating the faculty and staff members recognized at Miami’s 2017 University Awards ceremony this past Monday. I also want to thank their many friends and colleagues who attended the ceremony and helped us honor and celebrate their achievements. A full list of the honorees is attached (A).

Diversity and Inclusion Statement - The Task Force appointed by President Crawford to develop Miami University’s policy statement on the educational benefits and value of diversity is requesting campus feedback on the most recent draft of the statement (B). University Senate – At the April 17 meeting, University Senate will elect leadership for the coming 2017-18 year. Please contact a Senate representative to nominate someone or to discuss the elections. A list of current members can be found on the University Senate website.

Accessibility Training Survey for Academic Affairs Faculty & Staff – To ensure the academic success of all Miami students, the Office of the Provost, Student Disability Services, and Accessible Technology staff have developed a short training survey for faculty and staff in Academic Affairs. The training (mandated by the U.S. Department of Justice) should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You should have received an email, subject "Accessibility Training," that provides access to the survey. The deadline for completion is Friday, May 19. Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the training survey.

Announcements

• The next Faculty Assembly meeting is scheduled for 4:00 - 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, room 152 Shideler Hall on the Oxford Campus. President Crawford will present information on the upcoming campaign and Denise Krallman will be presenting preliminary analysis of the HERI faculty survey.
• The Undergraduate Research Forum, scheduled for Wednesday, April 26 will showcase the research efforts of 716undergraduate student participants. Interactive poster sessions will be in the Shriver Dolibois Rms from 10:00-11:30 am and 1:30-4:30 pm and oral sessions will be presented in ASC Pavilion from 9:00-11:45 am and 1:30-4:15 pm. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to stop by the event and support our student researchers.
• Vice President David Creamer and I will present the Regionals’ annual budget presentation on Thursday, April 27 at 10:00 am on the Middletown campus and 1:00 pm on the Hamilton campus.
