Student Life

Students study in the Engineering building

Student life at Miami—“what college should be.”

Oxford is student-centered, with plenty of places to eat, shop, and explore on the weekends. Wherever you choose to reside, there are plenty of ways to stay involved and meet new people. With over 600 student orgs (and clubs being added all the time), you'll likely find more than one that captures your interest. Join the 10,000 students who choose to participate in one of the University’s 30 intramural sports (broomball, a game similar to ice hockey, is a campus favorite) or the thousands of students who come out to cheer on the Miami RedHawks in the University’s 18 varsity sports teams.

Miami is a residential campus where first- and second-year students live in university housing, and nearly all other students live within a mile of campus. For students who prefer to live in non-university housing, the surrounding town of Oxford provides the perfect place to complete their studies.
