CADS Kicking Off Its Fourth Year With New Projects

September 12, 2018
The Center for Analytics and Data Science is ready to begin its fourth year at Miami with several analytics-oriented initiatives.
CADS has organized five experiential projects this fall. Experiential projects give student interns the opportunity to work exclusively with industry professionals on a real-world application of analytics. This semester, projects include building an interactive data visualization for the Butler County Department of Health to explore infant mortality data and evaluating the Butler County Land Bank’s economic impact on surrounding communities, among others.
In addition to these projects, CADS will host its third annual Analytics Networking Reception on Tuesday, September 18 where talented students are invited to network with employers to learn more about opportunities in the analytics field in an intimate setting.
With these events and others to come, CADS is excited to start once again connecting students, faculty, and industry in the fields of analytics and data science!
