Returning Member Scholarship

This scholarship is eligible for any returning member. Each applicant wrote about the skills he or she has obtained from the team and how they will use these skills in his or her future endeavors at Miami. The recipient of this award is determined by the MUET Coaches.

Graduating Member Scholarship

This scholarship is eligible for any graduating member. Each applicant wrote about how the Miami Equestrian Team has impacted them for his or her future. The recipient of this award is determined by the MUET Coaches.

Amy Schenkel Equestrian Scholarship

This scholarship shall be awarded by the Office of Student Financial Assistance annually to one or more undergraduate students demonstrating high academic achievement and participating on the Miami University Equestrian Team. Nominations shall be provided by the Coach of the Equestrian Team to the Office of Student Financial Assistance.

Scout Scholarship

This scholarship is eligible to riders of any discipline, level, or year. This scholarship is in honor of Scout who was the perfect Miami University horse and intercollegiate draw. We are proud to present this scholarship to a rider that shows the same positivity, willingness, and understanding that many were so fortunate to witness first hand. They should demonstrate willingness to work as a team in the ring and on the ground but most importantly, they should have a giant heart. Scout's legacy now will live in the hearts of these award recipients. The recipient of this award is determined by coaching staff, members of the executive board, and the club advisor.

Truman Scholarship

This scholarship is eligible to any Hunt Seat rider in the Novice Jumping Division. Each applicant wrote about his or her experience in the Novice Jumping Division, what he or she has learned from being part of MUET, and what he or she hopes to learn in the future to further improve his or her skill as a rider. This scholarship is in honor of Truman who demonstrated dedication, willingness, and enthusiasm in the ring. Truman was known for the love of his sport and his forgiveness of mistakes. The scholarship will be presented by Katie Jordan in honor of Truman.
