What Can I Do with a Major in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies?

Critical Race and Ethnic Studies enables students to see connections and opportunities between fields, to understand multiple perspectives, to excel in a variety of work environments, to model intercultural understanding, and to be engaged citizens.

Critical Race and Ethnic Studies majors*:

  • develop an awareness of gender and race differences/problems
  • interact with diverse communities
  • innovate plans and designs
  • compare ideas and translations
  • organize and classify information

Critical Race and Ethnic Studies majors can continue their education in graduate school in areas such as law, business, history, art, psychology, or medical school.
