International Student Advising

Miami University is home to nearly 1300 undergraduate international students from over 60 countries around the world. We work closely with International Student and Scholar Services to welcome new international students to the Oxford campus and assist them as they begin their studies.

Your first academic advising meeting will take place during the orientation program you attend prior to your start at Miami. During this meeting, the advisor will talk with you about your interests and goals, review any incoming credit, and construct a plan for course registration. You will also register for your first semester courses during this program, and advisors will be available to assist you with that process. Whether you have a declared major in the College of Arts and Science or you are still exploring majors in our division, once the school year begins you will have an assigned academic advisor.
