Dr. Bei Wu, from New York University (NYU) will be sharing her research in a lecture titled “Improving Quality of Care of Older Adults: Twenty-Year Long-Term Care System Development in China”. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7, at 5:00 PM in 180 Marcum Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Wu is founding Co-Director of the Aging Incubator at NYU which provides support and infrastructure for aging related initiatives across the NYU campus. She also holds the positions of Dean’s Professor in Global Health and Director of Global Health and Aging Research at the Rory Meyers College of Nursing, NYU, and the Director of Research at the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing at NYU.

As an internationally-known leader in gerontology, Wu has been invited to speak at numerous international and national conferences, and academic settings across the globe. Her career in gerontology has been distinguished by interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers in various disciplines at many academic institutions and organizations in the U.S. and abroad. As Principal Investigator, she has led a significant number of projects supported by federal agencies such as the National Institutes of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She has more than 350 publications including peer-reviewed papers, abstracts, books, and book chapters that cover a variety of topics related to aging and health, including oral health, long-term care, dementia, and caregiving.
