COVID-19 Update

OWP is still here for you! Even in uncertain times due to COVID-19 precautions, learning never ends at The Ohio Writing Project. OWP has a history of strong online workshops and customized professional development. We offer virtual professional learning for K-12 teachers centering on literacy and remote learning including building reading and writing mini-lessons, creating writing cycles, and delivering and designing remote instruction. OWP PD leaders will guide teachers through virtual and remote lessons in small groups or whole departments/schools. E-mail Beth Rimer at with questions or if you would like to schedule virtual professional development hours for teachers.

In operation since 1980, the OWP staff development programs have consistently received excellent ratings from teachers and positive results in classrooms and school districts throughout Ohio.

OWP teacher leaders custom design professional development packages based on your district’s goals and needs. Each session is grounded in research and current professional literature and provides practical classroom strategies in reading, writing and assessment practices.
